The bikepark season in B.C. is quite short at some places. I always had "Sun Peaks" and "Silver Star" in my mind, both closing at the beginning of september. Sometimes you're lucky like me when I met Stefan, another German guy who had the same plans. Actually we didn't know each other before the trip but it turned out to be a freakin' rad time. Both of us have been motivated as hell, so we used to do lap after lap.
But first we had to drive quite a while where we got our first impressions how mind blowing this country is.
In Whistler - the gear was set up and ready to go
We hit Highway 99 - no disappointment!
Sunset in Kamloops
Last turn off to our first destination -
"Sun Peaks Resort" in the mountains next to Kamloops.
In summer the second biggest ski resort of B.C. is a pretty mellow place and you never have to line up for the chair lift.
Nobody in "downtown"
Just a few retired people and golfers
Mountain view
Sun Peaks's got some gnarly trails - fast and steep stuff.
Steepest wooden stuff we've ever ridden!
Up in the mountains temperatures getting
pretty low at night...
Frosty shoes in the morning
After two days of riding we headed off to "Silver Star Bikepark" next to Kelowna.
Funny little town, wild west style
6am - sunrise
First time sleeping in the back of a pick up truck
Silver Star is known for berms and jumps
Mostly we rode a new track, called "Pro Star"
(Big) jumps linked up together, German bikeparks should learn a lesson from
B.C. parks!

Exhausted, unhurt and with a big smile on our faces!
This trip is in the books, next one is comming pretty soon...
Later,
